Forest bathing offers profound physical, mental, and emotional benefits backed by scientific research.
Time immersed in nature reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity, uplifts mood, sharpens cognition, and elevates overall wellbeing. It also enhances sleep, sparks creativity, and fosters deeper connections to the natural world and yourself—cultivating lasting health, vitality, and appreciation for nature.
-
Your guide will lead you through a series of gentle “invitations”—simple sensory activities designed to help you slow down, take in your surroundings and connect with nature.
We walk slowly and mostly in silence allowing the opportunity to fully experience the sights, sounds, textures, smells of the forest.
You will have the chance to share your experience with the group in a relaxed and non-judgemental way, although sharing is always optional.
Sessions often conclude with a guided body awareness practice and simple tea ceremony.

No swimsuit is needed! The “bathing” part comes from the Japanese Shinrin-yoku, which translates as “forest bath”.
-
Forest bathing isn’t about working out, reaching a peak, or following a set route. Instead, we wander slowly and freely, letting our senses—sight, sound, smell, and touch—guide us to whatever unfolds moment by moment.
-
Not at all—our walks are typically 1–1.5 km. It’s about moments, not metres!
-
Wear sturdy shoes, layered clothing, and long sleeves/pants for protection. Don’t forget waterproofs, sun protection, and skip strong perfumes.
Bring something to sit on (mat, blanket, or chair), a backpack for your belongings, water, snacks, insect repellent, and anything else that makes you comfortable.
-
Sessions usually go ahead except in severe weather. Light rain can make the forest even more magical—heightening scents, sounds, and the peaceful atmosphere. Just bring waterproofs!
-
Our groups are kept small—usually around 6–10 people—to create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Smaller groups allow everyone to move at their own pace and enjoy a sense of calm without feeling crowded.
-
As much as I adore curious little explorers, these sessions are intentionally slow, quiet, and reflective. To protect that experience for everyone, they’re adults-only.
Keep an eye out though… I’d love to offer family sessions down the track.

We love dogs, but to keep the forest bathing magic serene for all and safe for wildlife, please leave them at home. Assistance dogs? Email us to discuss!
