Explore the Power of Forest Bathing

Evidence-based practices to find presence, ease stress, and nurture body, mind, & spirit. Immerse your senses, slow down and find calm in nature’s flow.

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest bathing, known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese, is the practice of immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere by engaging the senses to promote health and well-being.

A slow, intentional practice that builds a deep connection with nature. It's not exercise but being present and open to what happens around and inside you, letting body and mind find balance.

Where does it come from?

Forest bathing began in Japan in 1982 to ease health issues from tech stress, overwork, and urbanisation, and to help people reconnect with and protect forests.

Researchers studied its effects, finding clear physical, mental, and emotional benefits, formalising it as a therapeutic practice in Japan.

Today, it has spread globally and is now offered in hospitals, mental health programs, social prescribing schemes, and community health and wellness services in countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond.
